Nice decor, large bathrooms, friendly staff, elevator, lockers, clean sheets. Secure rooms, need card to enter. Young and cool atmosphere. Good price value. Perfect location, easy to reach from airport. Youthful vibe, great for socializing. Some reception staff very friendly. Basic breakfast, cheap. Big shout to helpful staff member Louis.

my recent stay in barcelona exceeded my expectations. hipstel paseo de gracia's ideal location in the tourist district made it easy to explore the city. the friendly staff and secure luggage storage added to the convenience. the air-conditioned rooms were very comfortable, contributing to a pleasant stay.
Noisy doors disrupted sleep.

It's a lovely old building that is newly re-furbished inside. Everything was clean and the staff were friendly - especially Juan on reception. It's in a safe area - unlike some other hostels near Las Ramblas. Within easy reaching distance of many of the sights. Good shops & restaurants nearby.
It's not really the Hostel's fault but there were some Americans talking loudly until 5 am in the common room which was next to our dorm so it was hard to sleep. All the other nationalities were very well behaved and respectful though.

Great staff. Private room was a bonus. Wifi available. Couldn't have survived with out the vending machines - fab idea. Great social life in the evenings, but everyone needs to be quiet or move on after 11, meaning you don't get disturbed if you need your sleep. Great upmarket location with fab transport links. Free luggage storage. Think I may be back soon :)
I wouldn't have felt too safe in a dorm room as the rooms don't get locked and you can walk into the hostel off the street. Although, it is not obvious that the building is a hostel (no sign or anything) and apparently there are lockers. The communal showers don't allow anywhere to change, but most people just went in with their swimwear on and you can find different showers rooms on each floor so you can just find one you are comfortable with.

. the location of the hotel was fantastic, with key attractions and amenities nearby, making it convenient to explore the city.
The noise levels in the hotel were quite high, especially during the evenings. the music playing in the lounge area continued until late at night, making it difficult to sleep.

The hostel had a good atmosphere and was a great place to meet people. The common area was spacious and comfortable, making it easy to socialize with other guests. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to provide recommendations and help with any questions or concerns. The location was also a definite highlight, with key attractions and landmarks just a short walk away.
One major downside was the noise level. The rooms were not soundproof, so you could hear everything from the streets outside, making it difficult to get a peaceful night's sleep.

The staff are really friendly, and the hostel is situated at the city center. There are free wifi and breakfast as well.
Maybe it was just me, I didn't really enjoy this hostel and ended up switching to another hotel after staying there for the first night. My room is faced to the street and the whole night I basically didn't sleep at all. The shower room is what annoyed me the most. There is no lock on the door and it is a shower room shared by men and women! Someone opened my door while I was taking a shower! That was the very thing that made me escape from the hostel. That was really horrible!
